JOB OVERVIEW

This role is spread across two of our businesses. The main duties will initially be in South Peak Homes Ltd, and secondary tasks will be in West-Trak Equipment Ltd. This may evolve over time as the businesses grow and develop.

This role is responsible for managing all finance and accounting functions, ensuring all financial reporting and compliance work is completed with a high level of accuracy and on time, every time. You also run South Peak Homes data mining and analytics for all departments, and compile and send out all other reporting to the relevant teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, such as sales reporting, WIP reporting, job back costing.
This role also does reconciling, receipting, and costing purchase orders and creating creditor invoices in EXO. Preparing creditor payments for approval and authorisation. Working with our Accountant and Directors on queries for our monthly accounts. Applying Debtor and creditor payments in MYOB EXO and keeping the ledgers balanced. Closing off jobs and keeping WIP accurate in MYOB EXO. Preparing and reporting monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets and Cashflow forecasts, and bi-monthly GST returns.

KEY TASKS:
• Preparing our monthly financial accounts by the 6th working day of each month.
• Draft annual accounts prepared for all entities by EOM April and sent to external accountant for review and tax advice.
• Final signed off annual accounts for all entities completed by EOM May.
• Rolling forecasts updated each quarter for 9-12 months out.
• Monthly budget v actuals for each department reported to each team leader each month by 7th working day
• Ensure all tax returns are completed and paid on time
• Reconciling PO’s with creditor invoices 48 hours after they come in (in case PO’s need editing).
• Receipting and costing PO’s and creating creditor invoices in EXO daily.
• Preparing creditor payments for approval and authorisation each Thursday, the 20th and last working day of each month.
• Bank Reconciliations weekly.
• Working with our accountant and directors on queries
• Applying debtor and creditor payments in EXO daily and keeping the ledgers balanced.
• Keeping Work In Progress accurate in EXO by checking report on the 1st working day of each month and moving any items that need shifting.
• Closing off jobs in EXO within 3 days of finish date, including ensuring WIP is allocated to correct customer Invoices once completed
• Keeping WIP balances and customer deposit balances accurate
• Back Costing each job and emailing report to the Directors, Sales Team and Operations Manager within 5 days of job completion.
• Creating and generating reports for any data requested by the Directors.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Qualified accountant
• 3 plus years’ experience in administrational and accounting roles.
• An excellent understanding of inventory and work in progress systems
• Competent with computers, ERP/ Accounts systems,
• Competent with Microsoft products incl Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Competent with numbers and finance.
• Experience in accounting in the construction industry would be an advantage
• Experience working with MYOB EXO Program would be an advantage
