JOB OVERVIEW

Hello!

My name is Katherine, and I’m an interior designer, photographer, and journalist based in New York. I have multiple creative endeavors and simply don’t have enough time to keep up with all of the tasks that need to get done. I’m hoping to hire an assistant that can work on a lot of the following task and help me grow my business. I realize that you may not have all of the skills below, and that’s ok! The most important are the ones at the top (Required Skills). The salary will depend on experience, how many responsibilities I can pass off to you, and whether it will be part-time or full-time. I'd love to hire someone long-term.

Required Skills:
Expert or highly proficient in the Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign and Photoshop.
Microsoft Suite: I use excel and word often.
Fluent or proficient in English.

A few key responsibilities/tasks include:
Create design collateral in Photoshop, InDesign and other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite, including marketing decks, presentations, flyers, and brochures
Create social media collateral, both graphics and text, with a special focus on Instagram
Design letterheads and business cards
Design logos
Set up + design a monthly newsletter
Create questionnaires in Typeform
Make regular updates to Squarespace website: add new pages, create shopping functions, Upgrade to see actual infosign a photography print shop for my website, and figure out the shipping logistics
Brainstorm and implement social media campaigns with a special focus on Instagram
Work on marketing campaigns, strategy, and SEO.
Schedule travel: booking hotels, transfers, experiences, etc.
Research topics + information
Transcribe recorded interviews

Interior Design Responsibilities
Type client meeting notes
Update project budgets with proposed items and purchases
Enter items into Studio Designer
Track orders and provide updates
Create meeting presentations in InDesign
Update presentations
Create mood boards of proposed + approved selections
Create sample project budgets + templates
Track important dates, purchase/send gifts
Order fabric and material samples
List items in my shop for sale
Order office supplies
