SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:
• Execution of monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• Prepare journals, account reconciliations and perform fluctuation analysis
• Ownership over lease payments and lease accounting under ASC 842
• Support quarterly review and annual audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility and help develop/refine accounting processes and procedures
• Work cross functionally with Finance, Legal, AP, Payroll, FP&A, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements
• Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participation in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA
• 2 to 3 years experience with at least 2 busy seasons from Big Four
• Experience with month-end close a plus
• Experience with major ERP system (Great Plains) preferred
• Experience with CoStar is preferred but not required
• Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills, and ability to maneuver through large data volume
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment a plus
• High attention to detail
