Shopify/Wordpress Technical Lead

We are looking for a Rockstar Shopify/WordPress Technical Lead. If you only have Shopify or only WordPress experience, please do not apply. We are seeking one individual who has experience with both Shopify and WordPress. This is for a women’s blog and ecommerce website. This role can be part-time initially and grow into a full-time role.

Your days will be filled with:
Shopify Ecommerce Website/WordPress Blog:
• Ensure a consistent look and feel across the website ranging from - promoting uniformity fonts, product descriptions, product set up across multiple platforms, front end navigation, blog, and layout.
• Manage and maintain the site; create and update collections, upload new products; edit and revise product info and images as needed to optimize, takedown/move discontinued items.
• Help coordinate product launches on the website navigation, front sliders, and collection pages.
• Work with the Marketing Team helping set up sales and products across all platforms used for selling (Shopify/Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Update, verify and assign product attributes (sizes, pricing, color, collections, SEO, google attributes, etc.).
• Upload blog content and optimize product placement and linking from ecommerce shop, to drive sales
• Update, verify and implement optimizations of blog content – internal/external linking, alt tags, etc. image optimization
• Ensure that product/blog information and branding on the website and other platforms are consistent with each other.
• Works with the broader team to execute product releases, major sales, 3rd party fulfillment.
• Regularly audit website and internal analytics to identify and address areas where functionality, navigation, design, and content need improvement/updating/archiving while upholding evolving web standards and best practices.
• Create UPCS and assign to existing products + inbound products.

Knowledge and Skills:
• B.A. degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or similar discipline.
• 3+ years in e-commerce platforms: Shopify, Facebook, Instagram.
• 3+ years in content management platforms: WordPress
• Proficient with Google Suite Applications - Gmail, Sheets, Drive, etc.
• Technologically savvy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle several different priorities
• Strong work ethic and able to work during busy season – black Friday, etc.
• Clear and effective communication skills - verbal and written - with the team and third parties.
• Must be proficient in excel, word, typing, organization, computer knowledge and skills, data entry skills, project management skills, observant and self-motivated

Physical Requirements:
• This is a remote working role
• Need a laptop and a good, reliable internet connection, both are a must
• Be available for weekly meetings in UAE local time
