Full-Time Quickbooks Accounting

We are a food processing company in Canada. We are currently using Quickbooks need a full-time accountant to assist general accounting and tracking of expenses for government grants (this may end up being a separate role because the grants are numerous and large).

Key responsibilities will include:

- Grant tracking - the government has provided us grants which require both tracking and matching. We'll need to make sure we assign expenses to grants and have proper documentation processes to keep our submissions complete.
- Construction project accounting - we currently have a pilot plant and will be building a larger facility in 2023. We'll need you (and the team) to assist with the project accounting as its in progress.
- Bank reconciliations - monthly bank reconciliations are required.
- Intercompany transactions - Accountant will understand the legal entity structure to ensure reporting and intercompany transactions are properly recorded in each entity.
- Monthly closing - Accountant will close the books upon reconciliation and all entries made within 7 days of the month-end.
- Monthly reporting - Accountant will distribute monthly reports (Balance Sheet / Income Statements / A/R / Segment Reporting).

Quickbooks is currently setup and being used - but there will need to be both process improvements and changes to the chart of accounts to provide the type of reporting that is necessary.
