• Location: Virtual
• Experience: 5+ years E-Commerce/Shopify Management/Development
• Commitment: 20-30 hours/week, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm US PST (5am-9am Manila Time)
• Compensation: $8 - $12/hr. DOE + $50 Health and SSS Benefit Allowance/mo. + 13th month bonus

Synergy Wetsuits (Upgrade to see actual info), a triathlon wetsuit, apparel and accessories company based in Minden, NV USA is seeking an experienced E-Commerce/Shopify Developer with the passion and drive to be a part of something special. Successful candidate will manage and oversee the daily functionality of brand e-commerce sites, and serve as an integral part of our Sales & Marketing Team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has a great attitude, and can consistently perform at the highest level with minimal supervision.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Synergy Wetsuits is searching for an experienced and passionate Shopify developer, a web engineer who specializes in the popular eCommerce platform. With unmatched expertise in web development, our ideal candidate will create rich, interactive front-end solutions that fulfill our eCommerce Upgrade to see actual infondidates must have proven experience in Shopify development and should be extremely well-versed in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript languages.

MUST HAVES:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a similar field
• 4+ years of experience developing within the Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.
• 4+ years of experience in front-end technologies including, but not limited to, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML.
• Expert troubleshooting & debugging skills.
• Interest in staying current and applying the most current best practices.
• Able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
• Strong desire to learn and educate about company products/technology.
• Has a true passion for design and technology.
• A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and love for broadening web development skill set.
• Must have strong communication skills. This includes the ability to write and speak clearly in a variety of settings to deliver a clear message in all deliverables.
• Ability to create and improve processes. Must be a self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, analytical ability, and strategic planning.
• Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, with customers, peers, and management.
• Must be available able to work Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm US PST (5am-9am Manila Time).


NICE TO HAVES:

• Graphic design experience.
• A passion for and participation in the sports we serve.
• Intimate knowledge of triathlon, competitive swimming and/or sporting goods industry is a Upgrade to see actual infoSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as resident Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform.
• Work with Sales & Marketing to produce and execute forward-thinking, responsive, and scalable front-end experiences including landing pages, pop-ups and enhancements to the checkout process.
• Build out custom Shopify Plus themes and modify pre-existing themes for new landing pages, product pages and all other elements of the presentation layer.
• Manage the day-to-day functionality of company e-commerce sites, including but not limited to new product uploads, page optimization, social links and database integration.
• Extend Shopify’s functionalities to next level using liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Study the latest features of Shopify Plus and make recommendations that will improve conversion, email capture or overall site performance.
• Implement SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites.
• Create tools that enhance the user’s website experience.
• Update website information, products, images while keeping brand consistency.
• Routinely test website for usability, page speed optimization and other quality factors. Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
• Collaborate with the design teams to produce seamless, robust, and innovative front-end user experiences.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and be able to address their specific needs and requirements at a Upgrade to see actual infont’s notice.
• Understand business needs that drive project features & functions and provide internal consultation.
• Must have experience leading a team of external developers to execute projects.
• Must be motivated and passionate, with a strong desire to be successful in the field of web development and programming.
