WordPress Fontend Web Designer

This role is focused primarily on creating original website designs, with the most desired attributes being creativity, persistence, and attention to Upgrade to see actual info is full-time (40 hours per week), M-F, with excellent benefits.

We'll be a great fit if you can feel comfortable asking me questions. I'll try to be clear on what needs to be done, but it will be your responsibility to let me know if and when you need help or clarification.

We'll also be a great fit if you love to learn. I'm currently looking for someone with strong English comprehension skills, but I'd like to help you grow your skillset into something you're passionate about.

Here are the requirements. If you have ALL of these, then apply:

* Strong English comprehension Upgrade to see actual info's also helpful to have good spoken English as well. I like to see a C1/C2 test passed, but I don't require it.

* Strong website design / UX skills. I want someone who can take rough ideas and research examples. Then present those examples as options that we'll mix and match to create wireframes. Next, develop or incorporate a color palette and possibly a mockup. Finally, turn that mix of options into a finished website design with uniform layout, formatting, and fonts.

* Strong CSS skills. I work with CSS frameworks, utility classes, CSS variables, HSL colors, etc. These allow us to make designs that are easy to update and scale. Knowledge of those tools is helpful but not required.

* Experienced WordPress designer. I want someone who understands WordPress enough to install or update plugins and update designs on live websites. We primarily use Oxygen Builder and Kadence Theme / Blocks, so knowledge of those tools is helpful but not required.

* GSuite experience. You may need to handle the occasional research or reporting task and should be comfortable using GSuite (GMail, GDocs, GSlides, GSheets).

To start, you'll need to be able to work on my shift, starting around 7 AM US Eastern Time. Once you have a good grasp of the job, we can adjust the start time if you wish.

Most importantly, you need to be FEARLESS! I want you to ask for help if you need it. I want you to tell me if I'm not clear. I want you to challenge me if you think we could be doing something better. I want you to get excited about our work and own it!
