About the role
We’re looking for a creative and mission-driven blog and social media Writer to join our growing Editorial team. Together, we aim to deliver on our promise of forge opportunities for consumers to use their buying power to help others… At Laureldale’s, we aim to deliver engaging, interesting educational multimedia content to our customers throughout the Laureldale’s experience—helping millions of people feel empowered and confident when it comes to how they look and feel.
As a writer, you’ll help write, shape, and deliver outstanding creative content to customers on our social media channels..
The ideal candidate has a deep empathy for customers, believes in Laureldale’s’s mission, has a passion for fashion, and knows how to define and deliver high quality educational content to a consumer audience. We’re looking for someone who loves working cross functionally and doing a little bit of everything, but being the go-to pen at the end of the day.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, UX Researchers, Data Scientists, Product
Operations Managers, Creative Directors, and fellow writers and editors to create engaging educational content experiences on-our social media channels.
Write and edit copy for customer-facing programs and products in the unique voice of our brand
Delivering a coordinated brand experience and helping to define and evolve the brand voice of Laureldale
Ensure a high quality bar for content, accuracy, analysis, digestibility, voice, and resonance on key cultural topics
Partnering with research and data to better understand our customers, their needs, wants, hopes—and writing content that fits them
Some things we consider critical for this role:
At least 3-5+ years of professional writing experience in a consumer-facing role
Experience writing across channels including on-social media content,
Self-starter with a desire to learn from subject matter experts throughout the firm, and be the voice through which education is delivered to customers
Ability to take sophisticated, technical information and turn it into compelling and easy-to-understand language
Portfolio of work demonstrating creative and customer-focused content
Collaborative spirit working with cross-functional partners
