Events Speaker Researcher / Virtual Assistant

Speaker researcher – Your role will be to assist in finding and researching high-level, influential industry experts and reach out to them to speak at the conferences we have lined up for 2022. Acquiring high calibre speakers is integral to attracting delegates to the conference.

As Speaker Researcher for an education and 'content first' events company, you will be instrumental in carrying out in-depth research of key subject areas and hot topics within your assigned industry sector. You will identify the target audience and find out exactly what they want/ need to know in order to source and select the most appropriate speakers for that audience. You will be personable, enjoy meeting new people, be a strong builder of relationships and be able to collate content to tight deadlines.

You will spend most of the day on Linkedin searching and messaging people and you may be invited onto calls to introduce the speakers to the head of speaker Upgrade to see actual info your role, you will assist the head of speaker content on a number of events from both a content perspective (researching and setting the agenda/topics, speaker acquisition etc.) as well as event management. You will maintain strong communications with event speakers, liaising with them throughout the entire process from start to finish.


CORE COMPETENCIES

Graduate degree (or similar relevant qualifications)
Experience on Linkedin / Lead Gen
Strong proactive networking skills
Strong attention to detail
PA experience is a must
Experience in website content management (preferred)
