JOB OVERVIEW

What you'll be doing


We have an exciting new role available for someone who is looking for the next step. We are looking for a self-starter who can support the Social Media Manager with the development of the social media strategy to support the objectives of the business plan through creating creative content for several different social media platforms.

You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of lead generation campaigns across multiple social media accounts.

You will work closely with managers to understand campaign objectives and recommend solutions.

You'll have creative and strategic input into how the campaigns are run. And you'll take responsibility for optimising and analysing the performance of campaigns.

Working with in-house designers you'll help develop ad content, and web pages for client campaigns. You'll run and monitor campaigns using third-party software.

In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on client competitor and market activity.

* Manage the day-to-day running of our main social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, G+ , YouTube and other social media platform.
* Engage directly, and develop long-term relationships, with our online audience and convert them into subscription members and campaign supporters
* Establish strong relationships with all internal teams responsible for delivering activity, ensuring a collaborative approach across owned channels
* Proactively identify opportunities to take the brand into real-time conversations
* Identify new social spaces and develop ideas for these channels
* Create weekly content plans and monthly editorial calendars and coordinate with large themed campaigns across social media channels
* Develop and create weekly, monthly and campaign analytics reports, collating data and present regular analysis of campaigns and trends
* Help the social media manager to develop processes for risk management, community engagement and workflow

What we're looking for

* Relevant work experience within social media or community management
* Have an appetite for knowing what people think and how they behave online within the social domain
* A passion for and keen knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms
* Excellent writing skills
* Knowledge in graphics design and Photoshop
* Knowledge of how to use analytics and data to inform content creation
* Google Analytics experience desirable
* Photo-editing and image creation skills are a plus
* Experience with social listening and monitoring platforms such as Hootsuite and Brandwatch is desirable
* The ideal candidate would be from a journalism, publishing or campaigning background
