JOB OVERVIEW

We have a very challenging position opening up. We're a booming ecommerce startup, and we have high expectations, but also reward our employees well. You'll be treated to things like yearly retreats, bonuses that'll double your paycheck if you're doing well, end of the year bonuses, a very intelligent and hardworking team located in in Davao (you don't have to be from Davao, but if you are that would be really nice!), access to online education & opportunities if you want it (just ask! We love our employees to learn new things, or start their own projects), and cool managers located in the US and Canada (or so we like to think that we're cool ;).

Who you are:
- A high achiever
- Young, or young at heart
- Love to learn new things
- A quick learner
- possibly someone thinking of starting their own business
- Good english
- Good with excel and/or programming (optional, but people who have some CS background tend to do better)

This is not a typical VA job. You will NOT be told what to do on a daily basis (at the beginning maybe, but not further down the line); you'll be expected to correct me if I tell you something that can be optimized and make suggestions, and work with minimal instructions to complete tasks (we expect to not have to paint you a picture and explain every single step). Basically we want people who are more than employee zombies. We want people who can think for themselves!

We pay well, but the work is challenging. You will start at a relatively low salary, and if you make it past the first two months you can expect that salary to be at least double if not more. Its a tough job, and its not something most people are able to do, if you are you will definitely be rewarded for it.

No prior experience required with anything.

Is this you? Apply now at apply@merchantventuresinc.com with a resume, brief cover letter, and 1-2 references (preferably at least 1 from a western country if you have one). Please also include your answer to the following question: What is the most challenging thing you've done and how did you overcome it?
