I am a Canadian Surgeon searching for a lawyer for an in-house counsel type position.

Ideal qualifications: experience in medical negligence, administrative law, tribunals, appeals, and judicial review
Required experience: civil litigation experience/ability to handle all phases of litigation from discovery through trial.

The job will include the preparation and review of legal documents, coordinating actions with local counsel to minimize legal costs and turnaround time, as well as maintaining cloud-based legal files. Strong drafting and written and oral communication skills in English are necessary.

We are looking for someone that is highly focused with attention to detail; a motivated self-starter, with superior organizational and time management skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects.

Familiarity with Canadian Law (or similar legal systems) is a strong asset.

NB - We are at GMT -6. We anticipate that you will start work at 8 am local time (which is 6 pm for us). Most communication will be by email but a few phone calls each week for coordination and planning will occur at 8 am your time.
