Accountant / Bookkeeper - with BUILDIUM experience

Job Role Overview:
The accountant/bookkeeper is responsible for all things related to accounting, you will be the primary go-to accountant for the entire company. We are looking for an analytical, self-starter detail-oriented candidate and who is looking to grow with the company. This job reports directly to CEO. This will be a part-time position, with room to become full-time in future as more properties are acquired.

Primary job responsibilities include month-end recording of all transactions in the property management system. The accountant performs all accounting tasks, including entering invoices, recording rent income/expenses per property, recording monthly accruals, processing utility bills and management fees, reconciling PM software to bank, calculate distributions per property, review owner statements and ledgers, and security deposit dispositions. Basically, prepare a monthly accounting package and provide a summary to CEO to determine what the distributions are, per property. As the candidate grows, they will be performing investor communication, owner payment, and creating dynamic financial reports.

Required qualifications:
Understanding of balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows
Buildium property management software experience - used as the bookkeeping software
5 years of accounting experience
Very experienced with Excel
Financial statement preparation experience

Desired qualifications:
Experience in property management companies/real estate
Financial modeling
