Podcast/Video Editor Job Description

Required: must have personal computer, audio editing software and high-speed internet in home

This person will be responsible for assisting with editing video and podcast episodes for Admin and More and Start-up Circle. We are currently looking for someone to take raw .wav files, video files from Zoom, then: splice, edit, add theme song, ID3 tag, adjust audio with certain audio enhancements, export as .mp3 and upload to You Tube. This person should have at least 100 hours experience with audio editing.

Job Duties

Podcasts:
• Participate in pre-production meetings, podcast planning
• Write and edit scripts
• Edit audio, add clips, splice clips, process with enhancements
• Upload and download to our podcast channel and You Tube
• Be able to diagnose technical issues
• Ensure quality of audio
• Turn around finished product quickly
• Create a blog from the podcast
• Other tasks as assigned
• Work closely with Marketing team
• Complete all audio editing for limited-series podcast when applicable
• Attend team meetings
• Follow the company's brand guidelines
• Present to senior management

Video:
• Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to our You Tube Channel
• Following a script, screenplay, or outline
• Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
• Inputting graphics to enhance footage
• Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
• Improving and correcting lighting, colouring and faulty footage
• Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches his or her vision
• Work with our creative teammates
• Regularly collaborate with the Marketing team
• Follow the company's brand guidelines
• Present to senior management
• Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy


Preferred Skills
• Demonstrated experience editing scripts, editing audio, mixing audio, and writing for podcasts and/or radio
• Work well in a collaborative project environment
• Experience with narrative podcasts strongly preferred
• Very good at audio edits, splicing, mixing and enhancements
• Be very punctual, good time management, able to handle a lot of tasks at once
• Understand the basics of websites, internet, etc
• Understand the basics of You Tube, Simplero and Squarespace
• Generally, be Tech Savvy
• Knowledge of media production and communication
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• To be able to use a computer and the main software packages confidently
• 2 years of experience as a video specialist or similar role
• Proficient in appropriate Video and podcasting software
• Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is preferred.

We are looking for someone to work 12pm - 7pm Philippines time so there is overlap to catch up with our Marketing Team
