VCFO / Financial Modeller

Have the financial and commercial acumen to help drive exceptional financial growth for clients? We have a need for a Virtual Chief Financial Officer (VCFO) to help serve our client base. The virtual CFO will work closely with key clientele and use data as a key driver for decision making. You will be expected to lead the finance and governance functions of these organisations, and operate effectively in an environment that values its talent as a key driver of its success. You will guide the team with the experience you’ve gained over the years, pointing them in the right direction to simplify the most complex tasks.

Job Qualifications
• Graduate of Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, Master’s degree preferred
• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) is preferred
• Accountants with experience working with Australian clients is preferred but local experienced Accountants with similar role are welcome to apply
• At least 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Financial modelling experience
• Experience in Senior or Executive level / CFO / Finance Director position is required
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Team Management Skills
• Financial Acumen (Financial analysis, reporting and auditing)
• Leadership and Strategy skills
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, accounting and financial reporting software

The day-to-day
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), your responsibilities include:
• Financial management of the organisations we work with on a virtual CFO capacity. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial plans and all statutory financial reporting.
• Accurate reporting of financial results and managing our client’s financial affairs along with producing financial models
• Quantitative analysis and modelling
• Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the ELT to make critical business decisions
• Reviewing all formal finance related policies and procedures
• Work in streamlining completion of both basic and complex accounting workflows
• Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy
• Developing financial modelling to underpin all product business models, performance indicators and forecasting.
• Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice
• Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
• Managing hedging and foreign currencies (if relevant)
• Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards
• Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
• Managing relationships with Investors (where applicable)
• Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
• Investment appraisal and analysis
• Presenting results to non-finance people to understand
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
• Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place
• Overseeing commercial decision making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc
• Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the ELT
• Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
• Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
