JOB OVERVIEW

Database CRM development job description

We are a small company start up, and need to build a CRM and Website solution particular to our type of work.

This job is a series of stages of a project. Employment should be considered in blocks that correspond with each stage of the project. Following the successful completion of the project it is anticipated that our company would continue to offer casual employment to the applicant in an ongoing fashion.

Applicants should:
1. detail their qualifications and experience in relevant areas of database development, web development and programing.
2. provide an estimate of the amount of time each stage of the project should take to complete.

Our company will then interview potential candidates via skype and negotiate with them about the duration and nature of employment/ project contract (how long it is for and whether it is part time or full time and agreed salary) before accepting one candidates offer.

Essential skills: Database development, Web development (Drupal, CiviCRM, Moodle, Xero), App development related to the above.

We are open to other options than the platforms listed above however would have to receive a strong case for not using CiviCRM as it appears to have many of the exact features we need build in and has a large support community behind it.

Stage 1
1. Implementation of CiviCRM alongside Drupal CMS
2. Liaise with 3rd party server hosting provider to check server environment optimised for CiviCRM
3. Set up of CiviCRM core components including:
• CiviMail set up (mail server for company run through Microsoft exchange online)
• CiviCase
• CiviContribute
• CiviEvent
• Etc.
4. Ensure integration with Drupal CMS set up correctly and creation of frontend forms etc. (bug fixing)

Stage 2
It would be hoped that the following extensions could be contributed to the CiviCRM community following development so knowledge of CiviCRM coding standards and approaches is important or at least the ability to adopt these readily. This would mean that the developer could then advertise their skills across the CiviCRM community leading to further employment opportunities elsewhere.

1. Develop CiviCRM extensions in collaboration with company that builds on existing CiviEvent Component to add multiple forms to events and to event participants
2. Develop CiviCRM extension for policy/ procedure / risk management in consultation with company

Stage 3 and other potential projects
• Develop mobile app that accesses CiviCRM data and syncs for offline access to constituent and event information
• Develop local computer based CiviCRM client to improve speed
• Integrate Civicrm/ Drupal with Moodle installation so users have single sign on
• Recreate current website theme using bootstrap / drupal bootstrap infrastructure
