REMOTE BOOKKEEPER - PHILIPPINES

SALARY: Between 45,000 and 65,000 Peso per month depending on qualifications and experience
EXPERIENCE: Experience as a bookkeeper required. Xero software experience preferred.
TRAINING: On the job training will be provided
HOURS: 8am to 4:30pm (Pacific Standard Time / GMT-8), 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: Canadian Public Holidays Apply
LOCATION: The candidate will be working from home
LANGUAGE: English
START DATE: Flexible or as soon as possible
REPORTING TO: Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Remote Bookkeeper will be responsible recurring bookkeeping tasks for a number of small business clients.

There are many tasks involved, but the the main goal is to accurately and efficiently record transactions for our clients and provide them with useful financial reporting each month.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping for multiple small business clients using Xero and Dext (Receipt Bank)
- Preparing financial reports in Xero
- Client communication (obtaining information, clarifying transactions, providing reports and guidance to clients)
- Ability to verify sales, support outstanding A/R balances, familiarity with revenue recognition
- Develop systems to account for financial transactions by defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Maintain historical records by filing documents
- Calculate and prepare payments for payrolls and for utility, tax, and other bills
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms and other government documents
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience bookkeeping for small businesses is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Fluency in English (both written and speaking) is required
- Completion of a bookkeeping diploma or certificate at minimum is preferred
- Experience with Canadian accounting and tax system is preferred
- Experience using Xero would be beneficial
- Experience using various cloud based software would also be beneficial
- The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines is also a requirement
