JOB OVERVIEW

Inovact Consulting is an innovative and growing Australian consulting firm that helps industry service bodies in the agriculture and fisheries sectors to adapt faster and improve their performance.

We are based in Canberra with clients across Australia and overseas.

Accelerating the expansion of our business involves expanding our online presence – both to implement projects efficiently with clients (for example, see the project www.unitedseafoodindustries.com.au) and to market our professional services and the value we offer.

We deeply understand our clients and can write compelling content that we know they will value. But we are not so great yet with the systems to get it online quickly in a professional format and measure and continuously improve the performance of our online marketing.

We are looking for a dedicated virtual assistant to join us (initially part-time, at about 20 hours per week) and help take our online presence to a new level of performance. The capabilities we will highly value are:
1. Excellent spoken and written English, so you can help us with drafting and editing content for our webpages
2. Proven experience in managing web content, with high-level skills using Wordpress, social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), SEO and email marketing (AWeber) (Some knowledge of Joomla would be useful, but is not essential)
3. A quick and enthusiastic learner who shows initiative and works well without constant supervision
4. The VA will have a functional work space with access to a computer with Microsoft office, reliable internet and phone service

You will be responsible for website improvement, maintenance and online marketing (blog posts, social media campaigns, email campaigns).

Occasionally, you may be asked to help with different administrative tasks, but this would only be about 20 per cent of your work.

For example, you may help us with formatting documents, creating diagrams and presentations and writing up a manual on the systems we use to for implementing the online marketing strategy. So experience in using Microsoft Office will be well regarded.
