Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily activities across an organization that manages several e-commerce companies in Amazon, Walmart, and Wordpress Websites. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a sharp business mind and proven success managing a team toward maximum productivity. You’ll be highly skilled in managing a team, multiple projects, and have excellent problem solving. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires review of identifiable factors. Act as advisor to senior management, become actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems. Additionally, you’ll display a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Be proactive in the recruitment and training process, establish organizational structures, establish work schedules, supervise staff, evaluate and monitor performance of staff to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives are met. Accountability - Provide immediate supervision or assign tasks to a member of the team for completion. Working Relationships - Frequently interact with subordinates, outside customers, and Senior Managers/Executives. Scope - Receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Provide guidance to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure achievement of objectives. Administer company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Your ultimate responsibility is to increase our operational efficiency across the organization.

Objectives of this Role

Maintain constant communication with Executives, teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
Develop, implement, and maintain SOP (standard operating procedures)
Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
Promote a healthy culture/working environment for the team and ensure cross-team communications and problem solving are encouraged
Actively pursue completion of strategic and operational objectives
Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
Track staffing requirements, hours, and hiring new employees as needed
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support a team of 10-20 members within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
Manage on-time data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce expenses, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
Oversee employee hours, goals, and productivity
Develop work schedules to ensure operational goals are achieved
Assist with human resource concerns and issues
Conduct operational reviews and report KPI’s to upper management

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field (10 years experience equivalent)
3-5 years of experience in the e-commerce industry on Amazon, Walmart, or other relevant sales channels.
5+ years proven experience in an operations management position
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer service
Highly trained in employee management and SOP’s
Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive within a diverse remote team environment
Ability to problem solve is critical
Honesty is a MUST
Must be able to take ownership of the role

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience working in Asana
Strong IT skills, including email, .xls, reporting, and powerpoint
Ecommerce experience: Amazon FBA/Seller Central, Walmart WFS, Wordpress/DTC, sales channels
Prior experience with a U.S. based firm as a project manager.
Prior experience managing a team of 10+ as well as interfacing with Upgrade to see actual infoPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Position will be 20 hours per week for 30 day trial period and then scale to 40 hours per week
Hourly pay will be based on experience: range $10 - $16 per hour
Annual salary increase based on performance
Two weeks of paid vacation is provided as well as 13th month & Performance bonus
National Holidays observed
