Article/ Blog Curator

We are building a wordpress sites specifically focused on a several niches. Our goal is to be the #1 go-to resource “authority site” about these topics.

We need you to find articles, blog posts, news items, etc. about our topics online and make new posts about those items on our site. This process is called content curation. We want to point to and comment on more items online about our subject than anyone else.

We want to find the right “star” who can grow with us and earn increases in salary and bonuses for reaching performance and results milestones.

Here are the steps you will follow:

- Research and find internet Interesting content
- Choose an item to curate based on rules we provide you
- Use the plugin to snip [curate] the article, post, etc.
- Create a new headline using fill-in-the-blank templates we provide
- Write engaging text about the item you curated using templates we provide
- Publish the new post you created on our site with a link to the original item you curated


Minimum Qualifications:

- Good english to write a relative engaging intro and/or outro for each post
- Ability to understand and have conversations via text about curation decisions
- Good enough wordpress understanding to create new posts
- Must be quick to reply to communications
- Familiarity with Google Documents
- Reliable & highly driven
- MUST PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS
- Willing to do a test task before interview if requested

Preferred Qualifications:

- Great english and comfort speaking via skype when necessary
- Great judgement to select the right text of the original item that is “best” out of the whole thing to publish in our post
- Project management skills
- Ability to manage an editorial calendar
- Ability to find new sources to discover new content
- Good judgement to eventually learn how to curate without supervision
- Experience writing an/or curating content, with writing samples available if requested that can pass copyscape
- Experience with [or passion to learn about] wtiting great value content
- Help decide standards & guidelines both for good content and how to present it in the future
- Creative and resourceful, and interested in solving ambiguous problems with limited resources
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Highly collaborative yet self-sufficient
