Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project. Labor, time and materials requirements in order to determine the overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.
*Requirements*
- Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals
- Estimate the majority of work applicable to the target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.
- Review and approve change orders
- Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts.
- Create and present reports to upper management.
- Read and interpret customer ISO drawings
*Day to Day*
- You will be assessed on the Accuracy, Quality, and Quantity of your takeoffs
- You will be given access to bidding platforms to select projects based on certain filters and create estimates.
- You will use material costing sheets to determine the costs and best materials to be used for the project in addition to labor costing tools.
- You must adapt your take offs to market conditions and up to date costing for labor and request costing from vendors if needed.
*Skillset*
- You must have a professional understanding of cabinets and countertops and be able to accurately determine the material requirements down to each cabinet for the take-offs.
- You must be able to read blueprints and construction sketches
- You must have clear verbal and written English communication abilities.
*Work Hours / Compensation*
- We require a few hours overlap with USA EST (GMT -4) to discuss projects and share updates. Otherwise you may work flexible hours as you prefer.
- Bonuses will be paid for Bids that are successfully won ($100-$500)
