URGENT NEED: FULL-TIME WEB DEVELOPER FOR A RAPIDLY GROWING BOOK PUBLISHING COMPANY

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED web developer.

Gerry Robert, one of the world’s most respected international bestselling author and publisher is expanding his team of web developers. This is the world’s fastest growing entrepreneurial book publishing company and we are looking for webmasters who are exceptional. Good and average just won’t cut it.

You must be goal-oriented, deadline-conscious, resourceful and driven to succeed. You must be able to prove you can get things done because you will be tested.

Role:

The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications.

Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

This position works collaboratively with representatives of all departments in the company to ensure website content is updated and accurate on an ongoing basis. The position also works with the Sales and Marketing team to implement page layout and branding that promote the company's professional image.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and prepare elements/graphic images for the web.

Create, design and prepare layouts for a variety of web-based projects including websites, e-commerce sites and multimedia.

Develop and maintain intuitive, user-friendly and technically efficient web pages. Must have a keen understanding of Wordpress.

Update site content and structure in coordination with other key departments.

Produce applications, forms and related web pages in support of the company's advertising initiatives, web-based interactive communications, and other areas as assigned.

Troubleshoot website operations: Involves areas including content, links, order flows, registration flows and transaction logs.

Locate and debug issues that arise with the performance of all company websites.

Interface for performance issue: Liaise between IT partners and the company. Address issues with the hosting company or email service provider. Must have a very good understanding of WP Engine and Godaddy hosting platform.

Review statistics and monitor analytics - Provide analysis of the website’s business health and creates conversion paths so that the marketing team can monitor their efforts. A good understanding of CRMs, especially Infusionsoft, is an advantage.

Enhance user interface.

Maintain a responsive design: Stay up to date on the web’s latest technologies and make sure the sites and its products are always mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready.

Learn new tools and methods in an effort to adapt and respond to ever-changing project needs.

Plan for future changes to the website: Improve websites as necessary. Stay current with software and hardware that can improve the success of an online business.

Other related duties as assigned.



Ideal Skills and Qualifications:

Training and at least 2 years experience in web design and development

Demonstrable web design ability with a strong portfolio

Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.

Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, API's and Emailers (Unbounce, Mailchimp, instapage, MySQL for database)

Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills: must be able to interact well with leaders based in Canada and Australia as well as a global client base

Extremely detail-oriented and organized

Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks with minimal supervision

Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and pro-activeness

High standard of ethics

FLEXIBLE AND OPEN TO WORKING IN A 24x7 WORK ENVIRONMENT

Has a high-speed internet connection (DSL cable and a backup mobile internet stick) at home

Can start working full time immediately and has no plans to take an extensive holiday (3+ weeks) in the next 3 to 6 months
