JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:

Issuing and sending of invoices
Monitoring accounts receivable and transactions
Managing new contracts and sales
Cooperating with other teams to ensure billing accuracy
Helping customers in case of complaints and questions
Managing customer account reconciliations
Creating analytical reports and presenting them to senior managers
Participating in monthly and quarterly audits and cleanups
Detecting and resolving errors in billing operations and other related problems
Prepares and submits clean claims to third-party payers either electronically or by paper. -NF, WC, Self Pay, and all commercial carriers.
Generating claims and posting of SP, Suboxone, Immigration, CDL claims on a daily basis
Maintaining a good relationship with the clearinghouse, including appropriate follow-up with support issues.
Coordinating the process of patient eligibility through various third-party sources.
Coordinating collection process, to include any projects from eClinicalWorks.
Working with the reception staff and ensuring appropriate collection of copay, and self-pay fees.
Identifying and resolving all patient billing problems.
Posting adjustments and refunds, as necessary.
Ensuring that coding is compliant and up to date.
Maintaining an accurate account of all A/R and collections processes
Maintaining the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.


Requirements:

-Associate degree, preferably in business administration or related field; Bachelor degree
preferred
-3- 5 years experience in healthcare billing & collection practices, preferably with an FQHC,
-Experience working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid, Epaces, Connex or any commercial insurance websites
-Working knowledge on medical billing systems, particularly eClinicalWorks,
-Experience with Medicaid’s State Eligibility System,
-Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 & ICD-10 coding systems; Coding certification preferred,
- Management of all billing metrics and KPI’s
