Generally, we're looking for an amazing individual who can wear a number of hats across the finance and accounting ecosystem including but not limited to:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, document and/or maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems and processes
Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date project specific accounting on a weekly basis
Overseeing basic Accounting procedures (payroll, A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments, and credit & collections)
Maintain owner and tenant ledgers
Managing financial statement preparation and month end and quarterly closing
Monitoring and reviewing all record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions
Performing all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, and fixed assets and margin analysis; preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
Manage credit and collection’s function – keeping AR aging current – by communicating with contractors, vendors, and customers to address any past due invoices on their account and providing weekly status updates to management
Reviewing, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and property levels accounts in conjunction with preparing quarterly reports for management
Perform analysis of operations on a monthly basis
Calculate and execute monthly owner payments
Monthly utilities expense reconciliation – identify outlying utilities expenses and
Act as corporate
Support company venture capital fundraising efforts in any way that is required
Required Skills:
Quickbooks
4+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility
Expert level understanding U.S. GAAP
CPA or equivalent
English proficiency
Preferred Skills:
Buildium
Property management accounting experience
FP&A experience – budgeting, actuals vs. forecast, ad hoc analysis
