Plush Addict is a fast growing e-commerce business, selling fabric & sewing items to home sewing enthusiasts through our own website, Ebay, Etsy and Amazon.

We are a friendly, flexible family run business based in the UK and we deliver to customers all over the world. Our business has seen a sharp increase in business recently & are in need of support with helping maintain and developing our website.

This is a role specifically focussed on supporting, developing and enhancing our website.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, self motivated, experienced developer to work closely with the director in charge of the website. Main duties include (but not limited to):

Website Support
- Looking at the day to day operation of the website and monitoring the website.
- Diagnosing performance problems with the website and server.
- Working with the server support teams to help resolve issues and to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Assisting business teams to help when they have issues with working on the website, we have been using Magento for a long time, so these user problems are rare.

Website development
- Enhancing the website front end pages, to help improve the customer experience through the site. Must be able to work with us to modify the design of website pages.
- Working on custom code and screens to help support our business workflow.
- Installing and upgrading extensions as required and identifying the best extensions to solve business requirements.
- Ensuring that the core Magento site is as up to date as reasonably possible and secure with security updates applied promptly.
- Working on the mobile AMP version of the site, to help us better server mobile Upgrade to see actual infosential Skills
- Must have good English.
- Magento development experience.
- Magento, HTML, PHP, JS, CSS, mysql experience are all essential.
- Front end magento development experience.
- Must have ecommerce experience with a retailer with a large number of products
- Proven record of outstanding attention to detail.
- Confident communications skills - we encourage you to communicate with the directors daily and report any issues or problems so they can be easily resolved
- Have reliable internet connection and your own computer


Working Hours
Part time - full time - minimum 20 hours per week but can do up to 40 hours per week - happy to discuss
Working time is flexible - but must have some overlap with UK GMT, minor site upgrades will ideally always need to be completed before 6am UK time.

Salary
In the range $600 - $1400 per month depending on hours and experience, paid weekly.
Paid holidays
13 month bonus
