Wordpress Woocommerce Web Developer

We are Our Cow and we are one of Australia's leading online home delivery meat companies and we are rapidly expanding, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team

We are looking for a skilled web developer who will be responsible for maintaining, updating, editing the theme code and creating reports on our wordpress website. You will also need to create a staging site of our website to work on before working on the live ---------- order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in all WooCommerce and wordpress areas, the theme code and exporting data and have solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.

Hours: 5 days a week, but you will be needed for emergency support weekend work as required (Saturday and Sunday)

Pay: $10 (Australian) per hour (we ask for approximately 40 hours a week). If you can prove your experience we might be offer a little more (particularly if you can prove wordpress experience)

The successful candidates will be very organised and ALWAYS on time. You are highly productive and efficient. You have excellent communication skills – you are a good communicator with very good written and spoken English. You excel in writing and you have a very good knowledge of web development and UX and UI in wordpress, you have great spelling and really good grammar.

You are friendly but you also are ok speaking up when you need to. You get things off your chest and are ok communicating what is on your mind.
You are great at finding solutions, and you don’t like to get stuck on problems, and immediately start finding a way around the problem.

You take responsibility for your life, and you don’t blame others or find excuses for where you are at in your life or when you make mistakes. You leave personal issues at home and you certainly don’t get caught up in gossip.
You love customer service.
You love helping people and will go out of your way to make someone’s day.

You are not afraid of new technology and you really embrace change. You also enjoy working in a fast environment.

Web Developer Responsibilities:
• Directing or performing Website updates.
• Managing website plug in update
• Exporting data
• Managing post code zones for delivery areas
• Setting up reports
• Editing, writing, or designing Website content
• Amending account page set up
• Using API to link to our courier
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements and customer feedback
• Ensuring best user experience.
Web Developer Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Web development or related field, or relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Wordpress and Laravel
• Dedicated team player.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to fix bugs quickly
• Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
• High degree of independent judgment.
• Able to solve complex problems.
