Paralegal – Family Law Firm

A basic description of the job: You will work with a team of people to help clients primarily in divorce cases. Each client has a case that is working its way through the Family Law legal system in Florida. Our clients have high-stakes cases with critical deadlines and serious consequences for any failure or mistake on our part.

We need a teaUpgrade to see actual infomber (Paralegal) to help produce quality legal documents and complete projects to move cases forward. We will train the ideal candidate on the legal-specific knowledge that the job requires. However, familiarity with the legal process, particularly Family Law, would be very helpful.

Duties required of you:
1. Have a comprehensive understanding of what is happening with every case to which you are assigned.
2. Keep your Attorney and Legal Assistant on task for each case.
3. Oversee calendar management of deadlines, appointments, and workflow.
4. Create tasks lists for teaUpgrade to see actual infombers daily.
5. Create excellent work product to move cases forward.
6. Work directly with court staff, clients, and other law firms.
7. Identify and eliminate workflow challenges and obstacles.
8. Increase efficiency.
9. Create a high-energy atmosphere with excellent attitude and positivity.

Required Qualifications you must possess:
1. You must provide proof of JD, Juris Doctor equivalent education.
2. You must have meaningful and recent legal experience of at least 2 years.
3. Phenomenal written and spoken English skills are a MUST. You will be on the phone a lot.
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and general computer skills.
5. We require a copy of a valid passport, and you must be able to pass a criminal background check.
6. We pay with EasyPay, and you must be able to sign up for that.
