JOB OVERVIEW

Shipmates are looking for a digital producer with product management experience to help our direct-to-consumer e-commerce clients grow. We're a small-knit team and you'll work closely with the founder in a startup-like environment. We love marketing + product + design + e-commerce... And you should too!

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing complex digital projects from idea to full rollout!!
Developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing digital projects, products, and innovative e-commerce experiences.
Managing Shopify website properties including new store rollouts, headless commerce, product pages, new landing pages, and inventory.
Working with clients and stakeholders to develop and execute digital product roadmaps.
Researching competitors, technology solutions, marketplaces, and new digital products. Building reports, creating recommendations and presenting those findings to clients.
Owning all of our marketing channels and measure their success. Building and managing our marketing calendar, ensuring all aspects speak to our customer's brand purpose; deliver a positive brand experience, engages and grows our audience, encourages advocacy and supports commercial Upgrade to see actual infoerface with clients, designers, developers, and content creators to execute digital experiences.
Crafting beautiful and compelling digital experiences. Building out messaging and asset deliverables that fuel the audience journey through our digital Upgrade to see actual infocluding experiments within emerging platforms and interactive media.
Utilizing data and analytics to assess how effective the strategies are working and to inform business decisions and budget recommendations.
Ultimately, you'll help grow sales, brand awareness, and online sales channels for our clients.

About you

You are a digital native that loves e-commerce! You should have gathered at least 1 year of experience being a digital producer, product manager, or project manager. You excel at juggling many balls effortlessly. Your past teammates would describe you as an extraordinary communicator and someone who always provides solutions and clarity. You are deeply customer-focused and have a knack for knowing what works, and what doesn't. From both a design and marketing standpoint. Everything always comes back to the customer. You take accountability and ask good questions. You're pragmatic when it comes to prioritizing but aren't afraid to demand more and take ownership. Executing last-minute changes and troubleshooting problems is something you do in your sleep. You’re capable of pushing creative boundaries and suggesting daring ideas, while versatile enough to adapt to a broad range of challenges. You have a track record of "keeping trains on time". You have an innate ability to combine customer and data insight, with creativity and storytelling. You are commercially aware and driven by setting clear KPIs that you report against. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for e-commerce.


Requirements

Passion for digital products and e-commerce.
Growth mindset. You ask smart questions and learn by doing. If something goes wrong, you flag the issue right away and ask for support.
Experience managing digital projects. Please provide examples and the end results.
Understanding of Shopify and ecommerce.
Able to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
A collaborative, team spirit.
Highly organized. An innate drive for clarity and simplicity. Your notion, excel, and kanban boards are divine.
Flexible and nimble, able to swiftly react to a shifting landscape.
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Based in British Columbia is our preference, but we're open to the role being completely remote.

Bonus:

Ecommerce agency experience. Previously launched and managed an e-commerce project, ideally with Shopify.

What would your first month look like?

Managing digital roadmap for an Australian furniture store and an audio electronics store. This includes planning and executing a variety of tasks related to marketing, conversion optimization, and business strategy. You'll have guidance and support along the way.
Ideating on "how to launch a new d2c clothing brand".
