JOB OVERVIEW

We require support within our eCommerce businesses. We currently offer consulting to large clients but are moving more towards the retail space in the outdoor goods; furniture; and other industries. We are using a combination of our own eCommerce sites, Amazon Seller and maybe eBay.

We require somebody that is extremely organised, flexible and proactive in managing their own tasks for the day. The role will initially be broken down approximately as such:

- 70% Graphic Design Work: This will comprise majority of the role in the beginning while we are establishing the retail businesses. PhotoShop work is required to render product images to make them presentable on our new websites as our supplier is only able to give us low resolution images, with bad backgrounds – this is of course not useful or professional for our website. The person will need to be smart about how the pictures can be manipulated to look like they were taken by professional photographers, and adjusted for variance. Example – white shelves also come in mahogany and raw pine, so the picture will need to be created in each colour. We will also require banners and other creative input to make our websites appealing, and maybe get some advice on logos and overall colour schemes.
- 15% eCommerce Maintenance: Initially we will manage this ourselves but over time will require responses to online queries received by our clients, lead generation, or perhaps development of a monthly newsletter, product data capturing, or updating product variance. As the graphic design work reduces over time, so the site maintenance may increase.
- 5% Analysis & Research: Every now and then we may ask for some info regarding certain products / geographical information / etc.
- 10% General PA: We require assistance with diary management (liaison with our clients), ordering of products, expense capturing, sending of statements/invoices, etc. This element may also include some personal assistance outside of our business – such as ordering gifts, or booking of restaurants, research on best schools for our children; etc

Initially the role will focus on Graphic Design and PA work but as the graphic design work reduces, so the maintenance and research may pick up. Depending on the growth of the company and the workload increase, at a later date, we would like to build a team of support and if you were interested you could take the role of team leader. (That is a more long term view as our budget is fairly limited now.)

The interview process will include the following:
1. Receipt and review of candidate resumes. Suitable candidates will be contacted.
2. Email correspondence, and request for examples of your work. We will send 2 low resolution pictures from our supplier, we will ask that you make a plain white background (perhaps with some professional shadowing) and show the image in at least 3 different materials. (eg. white, mahogany and raw pine - we will send the colours too). The short list will be reduced to between 3 - 5 candidates at this point.
3. Skype interview - where salary, working hours, job role and other key elements are discussed.

As our time zone is so different from the Philippines, it is a small concern for us and we would ideally like a candidate that can support us through our busy periods. Ideally they would be available Monday to Friday from 12:00 - 20:00 (Philippines time)
