We are a fast-growing office fit out company in Australia currently looking for a full-time Estimator/Draftsman to join our team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

About the role
We are looking for an intermediate/senior interior designer/draftsman in commercial fit out and commercial office fitout with a minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a technically proficient and driven interior designer/draftsman to work across a variety of sectors including SMBs, franchisers, government, education departments, and NFPs all over Australia.
You will thrive in this role if you are self-driven, resourceful and have the confidence to solve problems and make decisions with the business development managers in consultation with existing clients, potential clients, tendering bodies.

Specific Responsibilities for interior designer/draftsman including but not limited to:
Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specification, and related documents
Liaise with account managers relating to guidance of cost estimates of products while ensuring pricing is accurate as well as making recommendations of finishes to meet the project budget
Interpret plans, specifications and provide cost and quantities of materials needed
Understand and interpret changes in design, clients’ needs and expectations to ensure the costings meet these requirements
Manage multiple quoting tasks and time manages accordingly.
Provide space planning and documentation that complies with Building Code of Australia
Understand the fitout construction method of the project being documented
Assist in preparation of fitout detailing and presentation reports matching the quotations including different options to show the clients
Create specification sheets of products needed to provide more information and after care of the pro ducts per client’s request
Assist the project and account managers by providing drawings of custom items approved by clients, to be used upon installation


Skills/Experience Required
Expertise in preparing trade scopes of work and rating from plans and specifications is essential.
Experience in commercial fit out minimum 3 to 5 years
Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management ability
Ability to work independently with strong communication
Strong numerical skills with a focus on accuracy
Demonstrated high level of expertise in AutoCAD (preferred) or Revit
Experience in interior office fitouts, commercial cafes, pubs and clubs 3 to 5 years’ experience
Experience putting together presentations through PowerPoint or equivalent
Able to render from scratch 3d product files and or use 3d product files to create environments – Preferred
Capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to proactively communicate with team members
Strong understanding of MS Office
Can-do attitude
