SEO Specialist / Assistant

Straight Up Search is looking for an individual that is a self-starter, hardworking, willing to go the extra mile, and a fast-learner. This person should be available to provide 15-30 hours per week; some weeks may be less work and some more. The person should have impeccable written English.

We are looking for an SEO/SEM expert to manage all search engine optimization and marketing activities.

You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as on-page recommendations, content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks - focusing on Google of course.

SEO Specialist responsibilities include:
- Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
- Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
- Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success

Responsibilities:
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor links
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Skillsets required:

- Ability to write, edit, and format in Wordpress backend
- Ability to write, edit, and format in Google Docs
- Ability to use MarketMuse, SurferSEO, etc tools to expand upon topics as needed
- Ability to perform keyword research using AHREFs to find interesting topics to cover
- Ability to use Xsimki.ixk for project management
