JOB OVERVIEW

Yellowbird Publishing is seeking an Executive Assistant / Project Manager for a part to full-time contract opportunity, working remotely for our company headquartered in Las Vegas, NV. The Executive Assistance will assist the General Manager with administrative duties and lead, manage and maintain company-driven projects.

The Executive Assistant / Project Manager should be a self-starter and capable of working independently with limited supervision. They should be comfortable with managing projects and tasks and ensuring the day-to-day projects run smoothly and are executed by the deadlines. There may also be times when the candidate will be over several team members for a project and should have experience managing other team members.

Strong communication skills is also required, and an understanding of the communication challenges associated with the remote working environment, with attention to knowing how to overcome those challenges and communicate effectively.

The Executive Assistant / Project Manager primary responsibilities will be:

1. Assisting the General Manager with administrative, top-level projects.

2. Converting submitted project specifications into milestones and tasks (with deadlines) and assign tasks/milestones to team (via project management platform).

3. Communicate daily with team members to keep them engaged and motivated with little downtime. Manage, schedule and follow up with projects to ensure they are delivered on time and according to specifications

4. Research and provide solutions for advanced-level support tickets involving internet marketing and websites.

5. Coordinate closely with project teams to discuss challenges and come up with solutions internally, with minimal supervision.

6. Communicate (via Skype/hipchat) weekly whether via chat, phone or video, with General Manager on progress/deliverables.

7. Hire new team members to assist with projects and complete new contractor onboarding procedures.

8. Look for opportunities for improvement and be a self-starter.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years VA and project management experience
- Highly organized and excels at project management and scheduling
- Good at managing others
- Experience with internet marketing strategies and methodologies. For example, one project may involve managing the social and editorial schedule for our online websites (social media and blogging) to ensure content is created, posted and delivered on time.
- Experience using project management software
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Understand technical aspects of internet and websites (HTML, hosting, ftp, DNS)
- Has modern, technical knowledge of the internet, communication channels and how software is stored and shared (Dropbox, zip files, Skype, file sharing, etc.)
- Good at multi-tasking and have the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Pro-active and flexible. In this environment, projects change rapidly. We need someone who can move and adjust with these changes quickly.

- Advanced understanding of internet marketing, landing pages, conversion rates, split testing and optimization of web pages

- Writing experience a plus
