Responsibilities
• Meet other team members to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created
• Cut and assemble recorded footage segments and put together the sequence of video and audio
• Create title and motion graphics
• Format images to use in videos and perform color corrections
• Input music or audio tracks as needed, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Perform in all aspects of audio recording, editing, mixing, and finishing
• Close attention to quality and improvement of sound dynamics
• Implement templates to be used as much as possible for maximum efficiency
• Organize tracking system to maintain accountability for recordings and ensure finished recordings are delivered on deadline
• Create standard procedure for work to be done in the most efficient way.


Qualifications for Video Editor
• Education in film/video and audio editing or related degree is required
• Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
• Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Creative experience in videography and audio
• Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with team members and the ability to bring them to life
• Experience editing various audio/video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
• Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for audio/video projects
• Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products
