Upskill Coach is a new marketing platform for business and life coaches to be able to run a successful coaching business online. Coaches can promote their services, schedule, meet, and get paid from anywhere in the Upgrade to see actual infossions with clients are held via video conference on the Upskill Coach platform. We are now looking for a junior LAMP developer to join our team. We are a rapidly growing startup business, the website first went live in February 2020. We can promise a challenging and interesting work Upgrade to see actual infovolvement in decision making, ownership and responsibility and a great learning opportunity.

About the job:
We are looking for a junior LAMP developer with 1-2 years of commercial experience. This is a great opportunity to be working on the development of a young product including work on the integration of front end technologies into the product. The successful candidate will get to see the evolution of that product as well as be involved in decision making and product development.

Job duties:
You will be working with a very experienced senior web developer who is engaged on a project basis. The right candidate will be involved in all decisions made on the product development of Upskill Coach. The role includes continuous reviewing and improvement of the functionality on the platform as well as suggestion and involvement in future development and expansion of the product. The successful candidate will be someone who is proactive and can effectively suggest, drive and challenge new ideas/ initiatives

Essential Requirements:
Higher Education Degree/Diploma in computing or equivalent is required.
Junior LAMP developer - Linux (Operating System), Apache (Web server), MySQL (Database), PHP (programming language)
1-2 years of commercial experience
WordPress experience - actual WordPress development would be required - the successful candidate should be able to create plugins.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills
Scheduling frequent check-ins
Clearing roadblocks
Escalating challenges when necessary
QAing all project deliverables
Assessing and evaluating project success

Nice to have:
Front end Javascript library experience, for example with Angular JS or React JS.
