Experienced eCommerce Focused Accountant/ Bookkeeper Needed to Streamline Processes

Hi there -

We are looking for an experienced e-commerce focused accountant who has experience working with Shopify and Amazon to help us streamline our business processes and help us scale.

We are currently using Quickbooks to balance our books by the 10th of the following month. Our books are in order although we are told they don’t satisfy GAAP standards. A few things we need to address:

- Ensure all accounts are tied to and backed by the General Ledger report generated by Quickbooks
- Vendor payables are accounted under AP Trade Payables, customer receivables are accounted under AR Trade Receivables
- Inventory perpetual reporting matches the inventory General ledger account and the balance sheet total inventory
- Closing of the books on the last day of the month is customarily made with no retroactive adjustments made dating to prior records

We feel this project can be done in the following Upgrade to see actual infoase 1 is getting our financial statements ready on a GAAP basis as soon as possible to satisfy our lender. This is most urgent in order to secure financing. You will need to review support documents for all balance sheets and P&L items, clean up the books, and define best Upgrade to see actual infoase 2 is implementing new processes and technology to help maintain GAAP books and enhance decision making using the following software:

- A2X (manage sales and COGS on Amazon and Shopify)
inventory management system for POs and wholesales (undecided on which software to use)
- Gusto (payroll)
- Avalara/ TaxJar (sales tax automation)
- Expensify (credit card receipts tracking and employee expense reimbursements)

Note: We are open to other software (including migration from qb to xero). These above are just what have come recommended to us.

During this phase, our technology development team will assist you (upon request) in creating a KPI dashboard to track cash flow, non-financial key performance indicators, sales by channels, etc. You will also be required to prepare checklists and best practices Upgrade to see actual infoase 3 is recurring CFO services. Once everything is set up and working, we would like a monthly meeting to define and track KPIs, discuss growth strategies, scenario modeling, budgeting, and cash flow management.
