We are looking to recruit a Compliance Specialist to support and complement our Compliance department. The role will require a high degree of responsibility in an inspiring and energetic global working environment. There will be many exciting challenges and great potential for personal and professional growth. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer who is based in Malta.
SCOPE OF THE JOB:
Support and assist the Compliance department in ensuring that the business is compliant with regulatory requirements. Specifically, in Cryptocurrency exchange and wallet services in the various jurisdictions that the business
YOUR CHALLENGE:
Managing client and corporate due diligence procedures
Managing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and internal guidance documents as per CCO’s guidelines
Assisting in web-site reviews and other compliance monitoring routines
Assisting in licensing application procedures
Assisting in the facilitation of in-house training on legal and compliance matters
Assisting in the creation of processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of the department
Providing support and acting as a point of contact for compliance related enquiries
Raising the awareness of compliance throughout the Company
Keeping up to date with legal and regulatory changes/developments that may impact Company a and assisting in advising and supporting the business accordingly
TO DO IT YOU WILL NEED:
Higher education to at least degree level (or equivalent)
Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, GDPR knowledge would be an asset
Knowledge and experience of KYC procedures specifically the due diligence requirements of corporate and individual clients would be an asset
Excellent command of English language both written and verbal
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
A ‘can do’ mentality, self-assurance, proactive approach and being open to changes
To be Self-motivated, able to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines
