We’re a media company that runs a number of blogs. We’re looking for an expert Outdoors writer who can help us expand our site, My Open Country. The site is a bit dated at the moment, but we’ve already begun a huge investment project to grow the site.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to write about the thing you love most - Hiking, Camping & Backpacking! Whether you’re a hobbyist or consider yourself a pro on the topic, we want you to write for us. You’ll be covering a wide range of topics, including the wider outdoor genre in general.

For this, we need a true expert - no fakers here, please! If you don’t truly have a passion for hiking, camping & backpacking, it’s not going to work, I’m afraid.

REQUIREMENTS
Flawless command of the English language (writing & speaking)
Must have at least 2+ years writing experience
Must have writing samples

ABOUT THE POSITION:

ABOUT COMPENSATION:
Will pay weekly for the first two months, then on a monthly basis after the second month.
We pay bonuses for great work
We pay 13th-month bonus (pro-rated the 1st year)
We give pay increases based on performance
Every month you work, you earn 1 personal day which can be used as sick days or vacation days (12 days per year)
These are paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Independence Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve (7 days)
