Construction Estimator

Construction Estimator opportunity for national property management and Development Company in West Coast USA with growth potential! The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to construct multifamily and commercial developments ranging from garden style to high-rise apartments. As well as single family custom homes.

Position Details:
• Fulltime position
• Hourly Rate – Highly competitive -DOE
• Typical Schedule – 10:00pm 7:00am PH – depending on business needs at time of hire

Must Haves:
• Analyze drawings and specifications
• Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management formatted projects
• Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same
• Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress
• Insure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project
• Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients
• Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
• Monitor progress, requisition change orders and identify any potential risks
• Organize sub-contractors quotations, negotiate to insure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing
• Provide clear detailed quantity take offs
• Understand contractual terms and conditions
• Work with and deal with concerns of field personnel

Experience, Education, Knowledge
• High school diploma or GED minimum
• Bachelor's degree in building science, civil engineering, construction management or construction science – A PLUS but not required
• Minimum 3 years experience working in the construction field in similar or related position
• Previous experience estimating projects
• Experience in the multifamily construction industry
• Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design
• Exceptional communication skills
• Able to plan, organize and follow through on work
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
• Observe all company procedures and safety rules
• Self starter, friendly, personable, and professional demeanor at all times
• Valid driver's license
