WordPress Developer / Web Developer

This position is for an experienced web and WordPress Upgrade to see actual infoeking a long term, committed and hard working full-time Wordpress developer to start asap who will work closely with us for 40 hours per week.

You should be proactive and enjoy rolling up your sleeves and diving in with problems, helping to solve issues and looking for opportunities to make things run even better.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain WordPress websites
- Add functionality as needed (e.g. add captchas to forms)
- Improve page load speed
- Monitor for security issues
- Make changes to site layout
- Set up new sites
- Rebuild existing WordPress sites
- Modify the CSS
- Manage plugins
- Quality control
- Work on any other issues requested
- HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Search Engine Optimization
- Advise strategies to optimize the page to improve current rankings
- Identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
- Build custom from scratch or themed WordPress sites as per project requirements

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Meeting with the design team to discuss the needs of the company
- Building, configuring, supporting and maintaining PHP, WordPress, and Shopify sites
- Designing themes and interfaces
- Setting performance tasks and goals
- Other related tasks if necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong communication skills
- Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization
- Prior experience in content creation
- Content marketing
- Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
- Familiar with Google analytics
- Can work from 9 am to 5 pm EST

We pay fortnightly in USD. Approximately $200 - $300 depending on your skills.
