JOB OVERVIEW

Hello,
I’m the Development Director for the Heartland Cancer Foundation (HCF)and I need ongoing assistance with social media management and social media engagement for our donors and grant recipients. HCF is a growing non-profit organization that helps local cancer patients with financial assistance for housing, car payments, transportation expenses and other medical expenses not covered by insurance. My goal is to increase public awareness for these grants and to encourage those who have been touched by cancer to financially support the foundation and our mission. I would like to start with a part-time role (aproximately 30 hours a month) but if we can show success, I’d like to increase these hours as soon as possible with the right individual! I really want to create an ongoing relationship that is not only financially lucrative but fun for both of us!


Here’s a list of the required skills and responsibilities:
• Strong attention to details (this is very important as misspelled words on social posts can make the foundation look bad)
• Ability to create designs in Canva and/or Adobe PhotoShop
• Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and how to post/manage accounts
• Light video editing skills
• Comfortable putting together or executing on outbound IG strategy (likes, comments for accounts)
• Ability to proofread content
• Understands what type of content looks great on social platforms and can edit or adjust as needed
• Can take direction and quickly roll with the punches
• Flexible work hours so that time zones (I’m in central time) matches up
• YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest knowledge
• Has references to show they’ve helped to take a social media platform (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter) from a low following to a significantly higher following
