JOB OVERVIEW

Our new site (Upgrade to see actual info) is currently just a landing page. Our immediate need is a tester to be sure that changes don't break anything on that page.

We are open to discussing suggestions about the best testing strategy--whether E2E, unit testing, manual testing (e.g. that the site remains responsive after changes), or some combination.

The ideal would be to develop scripted tests or at least to move towards that, to integrate into our workflow. That could include a manual test as well.

But... this could go somewhere for the right candidates. We are very interested in a good working relationship with you, and expect to offer lots of gigs and/or steady employment in the near future. You can see why from the site. We plan to scale up to developing large numbers of apps.

We're using a framework that provides a virtual backend and even generates limited front end React code. But there are things that will still be needed on the front end. So we'll be using a lot of front-end developers (probably freelance) to make small changes (1 to 2 day turnaround). We need to be confident that the code they are providing doesn't break anything and conforms to our style criteria, and can't possibly test it all ourselves, so we'll probably offer minigigs to testers who'd like the extra cash to do QC before releases. Samples of quality control include:
1. not breaking anything on a page or app
2. following our requirements for good coding style (linting might be useful)
3. making sure that they only insert code in proper locations within a file
4. confirmation that HTML conversion of designs is accurate, responsive, and quick.

So these little gigs could become something huge quickly!

Are you interested in working with us? Please respond with:
1. a brief summary of your related skills and experience with testing and/or automation
2. your Skype id
3. a link to any site of yours, Linked in, etc. (To be honest, I don't usually find the online jobs profile pages useful.)
4. any thoughts you might have about a good testing strategy, both for our simple site and in general.

And please call me Robert or Yisroel, but not "Sir"!

Hope to be able to work with you soon!
Robert
