Website QA Tester

What will you be doing?

• Rigorous testing of brochure style websites following our QA process and checklists
• Creating new pages and making edits in the CMS
• Checking cross-browser compatibility using tools such as BrowserStack
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Report bugs and errors to development teams and ensure these are corrected efficiently
• Sourcing, re-sizing and optimizing/compressing images
• Proofing written content for consistency and quality
• Our developer would code the site into the CMS, and you would then work with the Digital PM and our copywriters to ensure the site is pixel perfect, free of typos, no 404s, downloads fast... you get the idea!
• You will work with closely with our Digital Project Manager and Lead Producer
• Assisting the Digital Managers with virtual assistant tasks may also be required from time to Upgrade to see actual infosential skills and experience for this role:
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Attention to detail and an eye for picking up often subtle errors is vital
• You should LOVE what you do and be hard-working
• You must work off your own initiative
• We may require out-of-hours working at times (not on a regular basis)
• We use Bugherd for our issue tracking
• Reliable power and internet
• Very experienced working in CMS systems (we use Concrete5 which would be a massive bonus, but not essential at all).
• You don’t need to be a web developer and will not be coding in PHP, but should comfortably know your way around a CMS
• Very good working understanding of HTML and CSS - again, you won’t be coding sites, but need to be able to make edits easily
• Image editing software such as Photoshop - you may need to be re-size and optimize images from time to time
• Experienced using project management and communications tools such as Wrike, Slack, Monday etc.
• Fluent in English with above average written English
• You should be happy to get stuck into all kinds of digital-related tasks and learn new skills and systems
• Did we mention attention to detail?
• Experience in digital marketing a bonus
