Video Editor

Hey! Manuall Focus Media, a media company headed by an award-winning, Emmy-nominee director, is looking for a talented, driven and enthusiastic Video Editor to join our awesome team.

This is a huge opportunity to create quality branded content and have your work seen by a large audience across multiple channels. We want someone with both commercial and documentary experience to work with our team. As the editor, you will be asked to take ownership of your work, adding their creative input to the cuts, and paying specific attention to music choices and overall pacing of edits. We also want someone who is capable of cutting a long-form documentary.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Has strong storytelling abilities
• Knowledgeable in quickly identify story beats
• Highly organized, with focused attention to detail, including maintaining proper file structure and naming conventions
• Have a strong sense of pacing within an edit, including an intuition for how music choices and edits to soundtracks help to
shape the flow of an edit
• A team player - able to communicate clearly, and be accountable for the quality of work
• Must be skilled within Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, working knowledge of After Effects (desired but not required)
• Must take direction well, and respond quickly and efficiently to feedback
• Maintain a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit throughout
• Strong knowledge in editing effective and engaging video
• Assist with various graphic design projects
• Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and highly organized
• Adept at Adobe Premiere
• Adept at Photoshop and Illustrator
• Adept with After Effects
• Strong knowledge in shooting video and photos
• Strong knowledge in Photo retouching, photo/video color correction, resizing
• Strong knowledge in composition, layout, typography
