Senior Software Engineer

Who are we?

We are venture builders and a technology investor. We work with startups and corporate ventures to shape and build their products from the outset of the idea to its delivery.

MOHARA’s distributed workforce is split across the UK, Bangkok and Cape Town with all teams working closely together.


What we’re looking for

The strength of our engineering team is core to building tech startups. We are looking for keen, talented engineers for our hub in Cape Town. People who have proven technical expertise, excellent communication skills and a keenness to keep learning and sharing their knowledge.

You will be responsible for playing a key part in the delivery of products across our portfolio of startups as well as weighing in on technical strategy.

The role will require you to deliver on a number of different projects & startups that we’re working with. A desire to be open and provide support to other engineers where needed is a very positive attribute.


Requirements

Expertise in various programming languages, technologies and frameworks. These could include Javascript, Python C#, but an excitement to get stuck in and keep learning appreciated above all.

Understanding of how to architect a product or services to accomplish business needs

Genuinely enjoy working alongside engineers in a team

Be enthusiastic about defining and cultivating a product-oriented engineering culture

A willingness to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and keep us moving.
