***IMPORTANT*** There is little to no training provided in this role so you must come ready with your finance experience and ability to perform the tasks and duties expected of a professional knowledgeable in the following areas: bookkeeping, financial reporting, financial analysis, and financial forecasting.
We are a UK brand selling on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay & Shopify business, seeking to hire a Finance Virtual Assistant on a part-time basis to join our team and, for the right candidate, willing to extend the role to a full-time permanent position. We are looking for someone who will learn and grow with our business and if you can prove yourself more responsibility will be given. A growth mindset with the desire to continuously learn is key and important to us.
DUTIES:
Accounting functions such as account receivables, account payable, credit card and bank reconciliation
Using Excel to record expenses
Recording financial transactions and 'bookkeeping' in Xero, spreadsheets or
Produce Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet, Income statement and other important statements
Payroll
Assisting with year-end accounts
Data entry
Experience of double-entry bookkeeping and journals
Ensuring all financial and accounting-related aspects of the business are up-to-date
VAT returns
REQUIREMENTS:
Has worked for a UK employer before and understands VAT
A burning desire to succeed.
An affinity for numbers.
A high motivation level, with a self-starter and can-do attitude.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little supervision
Is familiar with Google Sheets, Google Docs and is generally a quick learner when it comes to SaaS digital platforms
A positive outlook and willingness to learn new things in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
A pleasant personality and calm
Adaptability/flexibility-- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
WORK SCHEDULE:
– Monday–Friday: must be contactable and responsive during UK business hours (can work during local PH hours)
– Starting Pay: US$1.5/hour (during probation period only), US$2/hour after probation

QUALIFICATIONS:
– University degree
– 1 to 3 years of experience in the following areas:
1. accountancy
2. bookkeeping
3. financial reporting
4. financial forecasting on Amazon/Shopify/WooCommerce or other B2C platforms.
