JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Sr. Accountant/Financial Operations Manager who can manage all of our financial & bookkeeping operations. We want someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and oversee day to day accounting activities and developing internal controls. The job requires not only somebody who is good with books, but rather someone who is experienced with automating manual data entry.

Job may include:

• Support new business initiatives through identification of accounting requirements and ensure implementation of financial controls and process and system solutions.
• Manage & Train junior Accountants / Data entry positions in order to streamline financial operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements; suggest and implement improvements to scale and automate manual procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc research on technical accounting issues
• Manage and audit company’s expense, and payable accounts.
• Manage and audit company’s income, and receivable accounts.
• Syncing our multiple data sources with each, making sure that they make sense.
• File and organize data relevant to tax filing in multiple countries (UK, Germany, France and Canada, amongst others)
• Work with our accounting partner in the UK in order to make sure process is streamlined.
• Prepare and file sales tax reports from Texas.

Must Requirements:

1. Clear understanding of building a process, reporting and deliverables.
2. 2 years of experience as an Accountant
3. 4 Years of experience analyzing data OR managing accountants.
4. Excel Mastery – controlling advanced tools and macros.
5. Understand exchange rates, multiple currencies and different cost structures.
6. Deep understanding of accounting principles.
7. Ability to train a team and manage them.

Good to have:

1. Experience with Amazon Reporting
2. Has 2-3 years of experience with QBO and is QBO-certified
3. Little OCD – very organized, and delivers in a timely manner.
4. Has some experience with one of the following: Sales Tax Filing, IRS Tax Filing, VAT Filing.
5. Strong technical abilities / Usage of automation tools (Zapier / Upgrade to see actual info etc.)
