JOB OVERVIEW

Hello and welcome! We are looking for a video editor with experience creating content for marketing on socal media platforms. The job is rather simplisitc in nature, there's no requirement for motion graphics or complex animations. The main role in this job revolves around scraping the internet (mainly YouTube) for video content, then editing that content into a PERSUASIVE video advertisment that SELLS a product. Less informational and more emotional. Recent studies have found customers make a majority of their purchase desisions based more on emotions, and less on reason and logic. We've found the same to be true in our sales experience.

The goal of this position is, when presented with a product you may never have seen before, you will first procure video content to use as the basis of the video. Then edit the video to aggravate a pain point (a problem) and provide a solution (our product). Focus not on the features of the product, but on the BENEFITS that the features provide. Requirements:
- Need to be fully fluent in written and spoken English
- Need to have a deep understanding of how to market through video content
- Need to be familiar with Facebook Advertising policies (videos must be compliant!)
- Need to have proficient experience in manipulating and navigating video editing software
- Need to have a smartphone with internet access
- Need to be comfortable with downloading necessary smartphone applications
- Need to be comfortable with having a short pre-employment interview and screening
- Need to be comfortable with attending team calls on a weekly or monthly basis to touch base

Responsibilities:
- Scrape product listings for supplier videos, product images, and other relevant information
- Scrape various internet platforms for suitable high-quality video content
- Edit a compelling 30-60sec video advertisment that sells a product
- Procure eye-catching thumbnails for use in marketing campaigns
- Maintain an atmosphere of personal investment in product assignment given
- Communicate on Skype and/or Slack on a daily basis with any issues or questions

Note: This is expected to be a long-term position. Video assignments start at one per day (5 days a week) and will eventually increase to up 5 product assignments per day (at our discretion).
