JOB OVERVIEW

Payroll Clerk Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an additional team member who will be responsible for all tasks involved in processing payroll. The range of duties includes collecting timesheets, calculating wages, ensuring employees receive their pay on time.

You should be able to carry out all tasks with high attention to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch Payroll candidate should be highly organized, inherently logical and possess excellent math skills.

Payroll Clerk Job Duties:

- Verifying the scheduled hours versus actual hours worked to identify overspending on payroll and payroll discrepancies
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
