She has taught many years of social media marketing at the university level. She won’t leave you hanging- you will be supported for success in this role and she will be active in all aspects of content strategy.

THE ROLE. THE GOALS.

As a social media marketing manager- t's very simple. Create social proof, engagement, and generate leads.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
There's no cookie-cutter model of the perfect applicant, so anyone can apply. As long as you think you have either the necessary skills or the ability to learn them very quickly to do this role, you're good.

This position has three levels of expectation:
1. FIRST LEVEL- SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
2. NEXT LEVEL- SEO EXPERTISE
3. TOP LEVEL- PAID ADVERTIZING

You may not meet all 3, apply anyway and be clear about what levels you believe your capable of doing well.
• If we find the total package then the compensation will match, and it will likely be a full-time position.
• If we need to bring 2 or 3 people to the team to have the required expertise then we will do that, and it will likely be part-time positions.

Additionally, the ideal candidate is probably…
• Fluent in spoken English, decent in written English
• Very creative
• Someone with an excellent understanding of SEO and digital advertising, and experience in both
• Someone with a marketing background or relevant education, and can clearly demonstrate knowledge that indicates this
• Someone whom is interested in the health and wellness space, as we are selling health supplements and skincare.

FIRST LEVEL- SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• At least one year of experience creating consumer-facing content.
• Candidate must have an eye for graphic design, ability to align the posts to match branding.
• Experience in some graphic design editing with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Spark or may use other social post graphic apps.
• Experience with content management systems is an asset.
• Experience working in online product sales, or in the health and wellness industry is preferred.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
1. You will be expected to take full ownership over the social channels, under the direction of the CEO. A week of sample content will be provided to demonstrate brand tone, style, and expectation. Weekly your planned content will be reviewed with the CEO and she will be able to provide feedback, in addition, she will be available daily to assist you in any aspect of your job.
2. Create content for social media using stock photography, photos provided of our product, positive quotes and statements about health, links to blog posts.
3. We will repurpose content and rework content so that we are not always creating new content.
4. Follow our competitor’s social media and a few key industry leaders for content ideas, model after other successful postings.
5. Create a photo/video wish list.
6. Maintain content calendar through google docs. Templates provided but open to using something that you are experienced with.
7. Manage daily postings on these social media platforms – Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and potentially others, including new platforms that may come into future play.
8. Optimize those postings with appropriately for each platform.
9. Analyzing results from different marketing activities to pull out useful insights for the rest of the marketing team.

NEXT LEVEL REQUIREMENTS- SEO EXPERTISE
1. Audit current website content, photos, page titles and optimize them for SEO. We use Shopify.
2. Review, edit, maintain content (blog, landing pages, the main website, etc), to be search engine friendly to be found more online and get more traffic for our website or other marketing activities.
3. Reaching out to bloggers and other website owners to get them to link back to our website.
4. Other off-page (as in not on our website) and on-page search engine optimization activities as needed.
5. Optimize google analytics and google search console, monitor and fix issues if possible or ask for assistance.

TOP LEVEL REQUIREMENTS- PAID ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS
1. Work with CEO in creating, managing, and improving paid advertising campaigns, ad sets/groups, and creative for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Quora, Google Ads, and others (such as a few software directories), and adding to this list if it makes sense to do so.

3. Content Marketing Strategies (We will discuss tools and resources available for unpaid viral marketing)

TRAINING AND YOUR FIRST MONTH- Sample Based On First Level- Social Media Manager
• Pre-start date: You'll go over some material about the company and our product, which we'll discuss once you start.
• First week: You'll spend your time learning the product, our industry, follow the competitors, familiarize yourself with our social media, start formulating a content calendar, and create content for posts. You'll use this info to help formulate a plan moving forward in week 2.
• Second week: You'll be starting to work on executing on easy wins to test the waters and put your plan in place.
• Third week: You'll be mostly independent by this point.
• Fourth week and beyond: You'll put your plan into place, and we'll see what happens! You'll be given the autonomy to make decisions, but will be held accountable to the results as well.

• We'll ask you a few questions about who you are and why you'd like to join us. Record your video responses and we'll check them out ASAP. Don't worry about dressing up.
3. Culture Add Video Interview:
• If your initial videos look good, we'll invite you to do a second round of video interview questions to see if you'd be a good culture fit for the company.
