JOB OVERVIEW

A small but growing firm in Vancouver is looking for a UI/UX designer to work on an as-needed basis to work on software and web design projects. You will be working directly with the President of the company and other staff members.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop the overall user experience and look of the newest version of our tool. Focus will first be on the web app and then other potential projects such as mobile app and website
• Gather and understand requirements, and provide assessment/recommendations by collaborating with stakeholders and the development team.
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Conduct user research and usability testing
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how tools/site function and look like
• Take ownership of creating personas, information architecture and mockups
• Design a cohesive and pixel-perfect UI elements and development-ready assets.
• Design and create collaterals

REQUIREMENTS
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
• Portfolio of design projects
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field preferred
